Greg Yurcus, President and Co-Founder
Gregory F. Yurcus is a founder of Kids for Life and currently serves as
the organization's President. For over a decade, Mr. Yurcus has been a proud
public servant working for the City of Tampa. As the Forester Examiner,
he reviews commercial site plans for landscape compliance and also serves
on the Mayors Development Review Committee. A graduate of Hillsborough Community
College with an A.S. in Horticulture and an A.A. in Agriculture, he is also
involved in the International Society of Arborists as a Certified Arborist.
Mr. Yurcus also remains active in the community in other ways including
holding a board seat on the Krewe of Shamrock and is an active member in
the Tampa-Cruise-a-Cade boating club. Mr. Yurcus is happily married to wife
Shannon and they have two wonderful children, Erica and Evan.
Kurt Badertscher, Secretary and Co-Founder
Kurt A. Badertscher is a founder of Kids for Life and currently serves as the organization's Vice President. For the past 14 years, Mr. Badertscher has been a proud public servant working for the Department of Defense. He is a research engineer in electro-optics for the United States Special Operations Command. He has published papers in the international community for electro-optic design issues. He is a graduate of Austin Peay State University with a BS degree. Mr. Badertscher also remains active in the community in other ways including holding a board seat on the Krewe of Shamrock and being a founding member.
Mr. Badertscher has two wonderful children, Stephan and Brittany. His hobbies include traveling, soccer, NASCAR and golf.
