This year Kids For Life has partnered with Tampa Bay Federal Credit union in order to maximize benefits for many local charities including Kids For Life. Tampa Bay Federal Credit Union has been a partner with Kids For Life since its inception.
The Golf Tournament has been SCHEDULED for
Friday June 5th, 2009.
Kids for Life is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to fundraising as well as increasing community awareness of pediatric organ transplantation.
None of our directors take a salary and the majority of our net revenues are generously donated to the All Children's Hospital so that we can help all children that come to the Tampa Bay Area for organ transplants. We are happy to announce Kids for Life was among the top 10 contributors to the hospital in 2006.
We hope that you find this cause as important as we do and can appreciate the grass roots approach we take.
The orgainzation formed when Olivia Jennings was diagnosed with a severe liver disorder at birth.
Olivia required a liver transplant and was fortunate enough to receive one
twenty-one days later, though the family's insurance did not properly cover
the procedure and other related expenses. Two co-workers were touched
by the family's struggles and within three weeks had organized a golf tournament
that they named Kids for Life, with all entry fees going directly to Olivia
and her family. The Tampa Bay community also rallied and local merchants donated
raffle prizes and other gifts. The outpouring of support was nothing short
of miraculous.
